Having been at Experience Days for over a year now, for my internship from Bournemouth University, my time here has sadly drawn to a close. Looking back at everything I’ve completed, I don’t think the year could have gone by any faster. From lampshade making to bungee jumping, from fascinator making to jet skiing across the ocean, it's safe to say I’ve tried and tested a lot of our experiences, thirty-six to be precise, and I’ve had a fantastic time.

I would try to put together one or two which have been my favourite but honestly, they have all been so different and I've enjoyed every one, so what’s not to love. However, to mention a few of my highlights throughout the year read below…

London Sightseeing Helicopter Tour with The London Helicopter

Having been to London numerous times throughout my life, seeing it by flying across the city was a whole new experience, which blew me away. From the start of arriving at this incredible Heli-pad, to lift off where my stomach was turning, to being up in the air. I was absolutely speechless, as mentioned in a previous blog post, this doesn’t happen often.

Jet Skiing in Bournemouth with Jet Ski Safaris

Next up has to be this Jet Ski Experience, we took part in this throughout a weekend trip down to Bournemouth to complete as many activities as possible. They were all brilliant as I am currently at Bournemouth University, having the opportunity to do activities which I could have only dreamed of beforehand was amazing. Once used to the jet ski we reached speeds of nearly 40mph. It doesn’t sound like much, but wow, it does when you’re out on the water.

Quad Biking with True Grip Off Road

I haven’t had a lot of experience with quad bikes originally, but when arriving to True Grip Off Road I knew I wanted to have a go! As soon as I got on the quad and completed the safety briefing I was more than ready to set off. This experience is in the most beautiful countryside with an incredible course/track to follow which made it extremely enjoyable. We had a wonderful instructor named Guy, who also happened to be great at taking a few photos throughout!

Bee Keeping and Beer Tasting with Hiver Beers

I’ve always loved the friendly Bee, so when I set up a partnership with Hiver Beers, I knew I had to try out the Bee Keeping and Beer Tasting experience before I was due to leave. It was everything I expected it to bee and more! People passionate about looking after the Bee along with inspecting the hives and finding the almighty Queen Bee. Then to go on and try the beer made with local honey produced in the area was fabulous and very tasty!

Invited to The London Zoo Night Time Visit

Now we don’t actually offer the Zoo Night experiences but its one to mention. Each year throughout summer The London Zoo organise an event each Friday evening. Fortunately for us, we got an invitation to visit. Its safe to say, myself and Charlotte thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. With a delicious selection of food available, bars, live music, animals to see and live entertainment we were not short of things to do. I must mention the entertainers on stilts were extremely impressive. You could most certainly tell a lot of effort went into the set up. Highly recommend for 2019!

This brings me to the end of my final blog post, of course, not only have I completed a lot of experiences I've also learn a lot from the team, so I wanted to add a massive thank you to the small but wonderful team at Experience Days, you have all made my year something to remember. For the colleagues which have been here for the full year, Robb (obvs he’s the boss), Charlotte, Shaun, Garry, Evie and Bex, you’ve been great!

And to put words into pictures, I thought I’d add some more of my favourite pictures from the year below! Enjoy!
