BUNGEE JUMP STAFF REVIEW

Owen, Amilah and I took a trip to Brighton Marina to take part in a thrilling bungee jumping experience with UK Bungee. Whilst Owen and I did a tandem jump, Amilah stayed back and took the most important role (her words) of filming some footage! I was very much looking forward to taking part in the experience, as I am definitely a thrill seeker, so once I arrived at the venue, I couldn’t wait to take the leap of faith. Owen, on the other hand, had some mixed feelings!

Getting there, the space was a lot more open than I expected, as members of the public were roaming the area and eating their lunch! Whilst I waited for the other members of my party to show up, I watched some of the people before me take their jumps, and every one of these people flew around with a big smile on their face, making me fill with excitement to take my turn! But before Owen and I could set off, we had to fill out a waiver form and get weighed for safety. The staff made sure we followed all the relevant safety precautions, which meant taking off all jewellery and making sure shoes were tied tightly so they didn’t slip off! Once this was all done, it was time to get harnessed up! The staff there were all very friendly and welcoming, and joked around that Owen looked petrified! When we were all secure in our harnesses, Owen and I made our way towards the crane to be lifted up!

…And in no time, we were 160ft up in the air! Standing high up in the sky on a shaky crane was somewhat thrilling, and as soon as we heard ‘3, 2, 1, Bungee,’ we were off! It was a magical experience falling through the air with the crowd beneath us. I have to be honest, I shut my eyes at one point, but then soon opened them and was in awe being able to see the sea and all of the beautiful Brighton Marina. After our final swing, the attentive bungee crew were waiting to bring us safely down and unclip our harnesses. And just like that, it was all over.
