Set in leafy Regent's Park amid heritage-listed buildings and beautiful gardens, London Zoo is an oasis in the heart of the capital with over 15,000 amazing animals to discover.

Adventure Requirements

Wheelchair accessible.

Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller.

Public transportation options are available nearby.

Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness.

Please note, there is no provision for left luggage.

Bicycles, scooters, roller-skates, rollerblades, skateboards are not allowed on Zoo premises.

The Zoo is more than 190 years old and contains many old buildings, 12 of which are listed. However, most of London Zoo is accessible for wheelchair users and those with walking difficulties.

Paths are generally tarmac and there is level or ramped access to most buildings.

Slopes leading to the two tunnels in the Zoo are quite steep.

Six manual wheelchairs and two boosters/electronic wheelchairs are available at the Zoo entrance with no hire charge, but a security deposit is required (subject to availability). You can call to reserve one up to 2 weeks in advance.

Please ask at the Zoo entrance or the Information Kiosk for information and a map in large print.
