As you and your partner arrive at the pottery studio in Birmingham, you'll be welcomed in by your expert potter. Once they have ensured you are both settled and ready, they'll begin to show you the basics of pottery. To start, you and your partner will sit opposite each other at the pottery wheel and each make your own pots. Hands-on assistance from the potter will be provided to you throughout the session, so you're sure to build confidence in your skills before taking part in the throwing challenge. Once you are both ready, it's time to try and throw your pottery together! This will be a challenge for both of you, and you'll need to work together. If you're feeling extra confident, you can put a blindfold to challenge yourselves that extra bit more. Up to two weeks later, you'll collect your glazed and fired final creation - and treasure it for years to come!
