Food & Drink walking tours In London. Discover the East End of London.

Walking Food & Drink Tours In London are a must. Walk Eat Talk Eat's East London food tour was the first one in the area. We now cover the South and West of London too. We've had thousands of customers along, shared zillions of stories and are close to serving up our 3000th salt beef bagel. We run our East End Tour all through the week and on the weekends that's when we hold our Hidden Gems and Portobello Tales tours. Why East London? Because the food is amazing, there's so much history to share and our tour guides have lived in those areas, so they know them inside out and love sharing their local haunts. I myself have lived in London now for over ten years and I can safely say this city still surprises me with all its hidden secrets old-and-new. What I believe gives us that unique essence is that myself and our tour guides ( even in our spare time ) go in search for new cuisines to be tasted and explore hidden bits of London's history waiting to be spoken about all for you.

Walk Eat Talk Eat tour of the East End was one of the best things we did on our trip to London. Eddie is a very gracious and charming guide and storyteller. My daughter and I loved learning about the rich history and culture of the areas we toured, and the food was delicious. We tried some foods we might never have tried otherwise, and the restaurants were well-chosen for a nice variety. The street art was fascinating too!

Myself and a friend had contacted Eddie back in Jan/Feb 2020. We had booked a walk eat and talk tour for a friends hen party. Eddie has taken on board every dietary requirement, every note made regarding the brides fav things to eat and drink. The tour he designed was spot on, he really listened to us. Unfortunately, covid happened and the ever changing, inconsistent rules made it impossible for us to rebook. Eddie, kindly refunded us back half of our deposit, no questions asked. Might I add, he was in constant contact throughout covid with updates etc. Once we are able to do so, we will defo be booking again! :)

We had an outstanding tour with Eddie. We did a private tour of the East End, since the normal one didn't fit with our schedule. We were two adults and two 17-year old cousins from the US and Eddie catered to all our interests, masterfully navigating the various moods, tastes, and food allergies of the participants! He was full of interesting facts -- from the history of the Old Nichol to various stories about immigration, to an artist who paints chewed gum on the street! The food stops were all delicious, our favorite was a Basque restaurant but we also had traditional Beigels, Bangladshi sweets, and vegan cheese (not our favorite but interesting to have tried). The favorite was the Ghanian chocolate store! This was a fabulous area and Eddie was a charming and entertaining host -- highly recommend signing up with him1

Myself and colleagues from across Europe (all speaking different languages) had the privilidge and pleasure of being taken on this tour by Eddie. I can't praise the tour highly enough. Informative (learned so much) & fun. From visiting the site of London's biggest slum, to leaning about the different breweries in the area, sampling the most famous bagels in Shoreditch (and possibly the world!), vegan cheese, world famous steak and local beer along with discovering grafiti and art from local street artists and from those whose fame spreads further afar, the tour was a joy from start to end. In no small part down to Eddie and his infectious enthusiasm, knowledge and passion for the East End of London and in sharing his knowledge with those on his tour. We were 30 or so adults from across Europe, but I honestly think this would be enjoyed by all ages and nationalities and you'll definitely finish your day enlightened, well fed and watered and with a smile on your face. Fantastic tour. Thank you Eddie!

Having visited London a number of times we were looking for something different to do so booked on the East End walking food tour. We have been on quite a few food tours in various cities while travelling but never one in the UK. I'm so glad we decided to book this one. It's been one of the most enjoyable, relaxed and tastiest ones we have been on. Eddie our guide was fantastic and engaging. His knowledge, stories and interactions really made it and the food we sampled was outstanding. Next time we are back we will definitely be booking again and I'll be sure to recommend to friends. Thanks again for a wonderful day.

ABSOLUTELY AND COMPLETELY DISSATISFIED WITH THIS TOUR. We were so looking forward to the tour. My wife and I were the only couple on the tour. The food, beer/wine promised was not correct. The food consisted of a small amount of tomatoes, a small piece of black pudding, small sausage and bread at a Spanish restaurant. Drinks were tap water!!!! The next stop was waiting outside a Beigel shop while our guide went inside and picked up 1 small bagel which we had to share. No drinks!!!!! Next stop was waiting outside a pizza shop while our tour guide went in and picked up a very small dessert pizza with Nutella filling. No drinks!!!!! The next stop, a chocolate shop where we went in and selected 2 truffles each. No drinks!!!!!! The next stop we were waiting outside a Bangladeshi shop while our tour guide went in and picked up 2 cold samosas, how were we supposed to heat them….staying in a hotel. It was either give them to our guide or put them in a bin. No drinks!!!!! By this time it was 2.5 hours out of 3 hours of our tour and we had 1 GLASS OF TAP WATER. We asked our guide where were the drinks and she said we were going to a craft beer shop for a small sample of 3 beers. We paid $248 for this tour which was just a walk around East London and if I was really generous about $40 worth of average food and drink. We are both bitterly disappointed and disgusted with what we experienced on this tour and it did not come anywhere near what is stated in the offer when we booked. Be careful of what you pay for and do not go on this tour. A definite let down.

We took a food tour in portobello market and it was lovely, the guide was very interesting and friendly. We learned about the history of the neighborhood while sampling different authentic foods. In one of the stalls the food was delayed so he bought us a cup of coffee while we waited and one of our planned stops was in a deli which was unfortunately closed so he found a solution by bringing us food from a different equally delicious place. Overall it was a fun day of strolling in the market, Eating good food and having interesting conversations over a glass of gin and tonic. Definitely recommend, the guide is a really cool guy and interesting to talk to.

I can't recommend a tour with Walk Eat Talk Eat enough. My girlfriend and I did the Portobello Tales tour on a wet Sunday afternoon but as soon as the tour began, we forgot about the rain! Eddie was out tour guide, and he made the experience extremely insightful and fun, plus the food was incredible. The tour ran smoothly, and this was down to the fact Eddie has been to each stop before hand to ensure tables were reserved and queues were skipped! I spend a lot of time in London with work, but it was great to see the city from a different perspective and discover hidden gems such as the Liberte Cherie, a shop I will certainly be visiting again soon. Thanks Eddie for a fantastic day!!

Eddie is an engaging, knowledgeable and fun guide with great jokes, encyclopedic knowledge and the ability to read what the group needs. We loved all the locations we went to and had so much fun with Eddie along the way - it felt more like a groups of friends doing a food/pub crawl than a formal tour! In addition, Eddie is the consummate professional, very responsive in the lead up and on the tour date and was able to accommodate our additional requests. This was a trip for a group of 27 GCSE students and was split into 2 groups. Eddie and his colleague met us at true agreed location and walked us round the Spitalfields market and Brick lane area. The history and knowledge was fascinating and the food stops were organised and high quality food included in the price. The pace was good and the pupils were all engaged in the tour and the food. Huge thanks to Eddie and a highly recommended tour for schools and / or a family day out!!

We had a fabulous 3 hour tour of east London - ate delicious food, had some yummy drinks, and met some great artists working in the hospitality industry. Our guide Eddie was a fabulous story teller, incredibly knowledgeable and holds great relationships with the vendors/restaurant owners that we visited. I would definitely do a tour with this company again.
