It will be hard for any future GOT tour to top this day and tour. Robbie, who has amazing stories to share (loved his endless dying in an episode story) and fun facts behind the scene. The castles and walks and scenery was stunning and u can totally understand why these locations have been choosen as the world of GOT. One highlight after another (no spoilers here)! Gladly we booked this trip as the tourguide for the Iron Islands was a no show but Robbie managed it all professionally and we picked up some of the stranded people. Fantastic tour and guide. He may need his own lil thrown!

I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is a G.O.T fan , you walk through a lot of film locations . Some guide are actors that played roles in the TV series . They are very nice guys and involve you telling anecdotes and explaining technically how some scenes were filmed. The two walks ( Castle Ward in the morning and Tollymore Forest in the afternoon ) ) are quite simple and affordable for anyone who is healthy, but there are many things to see so you have to walk very quickly. Lunch time at The Cuan pub where you can see one of the Doors of Thrones.

Myself and my daughter are massive Game of Thrones fans, my husband has never seen it. When I saw the tour advertised on Facebook I had to book it, we were not disappointed. Our guide was Brian, he was full of stories from on set and made the tour even more special. The scenery was beautiful. Brian showed us all the areas that were used and have pictures to show how everything was put together. We got to dress up in cloaks and got to hold swords from the show, my daughter felt special as she got to hold her favourite sword needle. The day was totally amazing and we will be coming back to Belfast to do the other tours.

Super fun and interesting tour. Our guide, Andrew was filled with enthusiasm and passion as he spoke of the sites used for various scenes and also added a personal touch by telling us of his experiences as an extra! The tour allowed us to not only be immersed into Westeros (specifically the North and Riverlands), but also allowed us to discover bits of Northern Ireland that we wouldn't have known of otherwise! We will definitely be back for the Iron Islands tour as we have such an amazing time on our day!

From the time we were picked up on the bus till the time we got off we were fully entertained by Andrew - also who happened to be one of the extras in the show. His knowledge and insider information was priceless and he was entertainment in himself. Wished I could have recorded the whole day so I could remember it all later. It was fast paced and jam packed with information. I would love to go back again later and revisit on a slower pace but we weren’t disappointed with the action day. Loved the dress ups too!

My wife and I did this tour on St. Patrick's Day. We are both big fans of the show, and I have read the books. The tour was very enjoyable. Andrew, as a GOT extra, was a super guide who was very proud of and passionate about his work. I won't go in to the details of the itinerary, but he filled the time between stops very well with entertaining stories about his experiences with GOT. The locations we visited were all excellent, and Andrew brought them to life. Well worth doing.

I specifically emailed GOT Tours to find when Andrew was working so I could book a spot on his tour. I met Andrew last summer in Nashville and got to talk to him a bit about his adventures as an extra on the show. When I found out he guided these tours, being a huge fan of the show and books, I knew I had to visit Belfast and join him for the day. I ended up doing this tour and the Iron Islands tour the same weekend and thoroughly enjoyed myself! The Winterfell Trek takes you to a whole lot of filming locations centered around the Starks and Winterfell in the show. As you visit each filming location, they’ll show you pics on an iPad, or laminates of what the locations looked like in the show as you visit. They show you the buildings used as the Winterfell courtyards, and where they shot scenes with Tyrion in season 1, you get to meet A dire wolf or two, check out one of the GOT themed doors that were carved with show related things, and walk off the steak and Guinness pie you ate at lunch on a trek at Tollymore Forest in the afternoon. I also loved that they have cloaks and swords for you to use for photo ops at the ruins of Inch Abbey. All in all, a day well spent!

We had a great time exploring the set locations and learning so much about the behind the scenes and making ofs, what made the tour stand out was our guide, Brian, who was himself an extra on the show and got to share some insider information on the scenes that he filmed in, which were numerous. Brian had a wonderful personality and is very humorous, definitely a highlight of the tour. He even managed to pull some surprise additions for the tour that was not on the brochure, which is meeting with the direwolves! Although this is not a guarantee for every tour, it just goes to show how dedicated Brian is to making the tour a memorable time. Definitely reccomend this tour for any GOT fan or film/tv buff or just people looking to see the sights in Northern Ireland.

We did the Saturday 27th April Winterfell trek. Seven Hells, this trip was awesome! The weather was absolutely shocking, chucked it down with rain and i can honestly say i hardly even noticed we were so mesmerised with it all. Brian, our tour guide for the day, was phenomenal. It was really interesting to hear all his tales from the set of GOT during his years of being an extra, and for his love of 'sexy trees'!! Getting to see the various locations was fab, and seeing how those sets actually ended up looking on the silver screen was cool af! My husband and I are both huge fans of the show and these guys really brought it to life for us. We loved dressing up and brandishing weapons and Stark banners! Completely fell in love with Tollymore Forest, just stunning. The hot food at The Cuan for lunch was really enjoyable (and a welcome chance to dry off!) Try the Chowder, it was gooooood! So was the local beer called Hodor! We were mega lucky to be able to meet the beautiful direwolves too, as you can appreciate they may not be available for every tour, so we felt really grateful to the guys at GOTdirewolves for bringing them to meet us. Was a fab surprise! All in all, i highly recommend this company to any true GOT fan, you won't be disappointed. #WinterIsHere #ForTheThrone #HouseStark

We met Adrian, our tour guide at 8a and said our goodbyes 10 hours later. What a lovely tour feature packed with video and first person commentary by our tour guide who also was an extra for a number of episodes as well as a double for one of the main characters. We enjoyed this tour so much we are going to now rewatch the 8 seasons when we return home. Very well run tour that was feature packed with vistas and commentary. My wife and I completely enjoyed this full-day, “immersive” tour! Our guide, Brian, was awesome! Knowledgeable, friendly and very funny, he kept the tour on pace and allowed the entire group to be engaged throughout the day. The locations we visited were spectacular in their own beauty and also connected us to the “finished scenes” we all enjoyed watching GoT. It made us appreciate even more the impressive collective effort that was made to create this epic series.

Yesterday, the 18th of June, we went on tour with Brian. From the beginning it was clear that he was a fascinating character -- animated, energetic, engaging, full of good humor and great stories. He made the long drive to our first stop extra enjoyable, although he did distract us somewhat from the beautiful scenery as we drove along ^_^ As with any such location tour, Brian came prepared with large still photos from the program showing what was seen from each location and showing the comparisons between the screened shots and how the overall scene looked to the production company. We love knowing how the magic is made because knowing the "how" makes it that much more amazing! And Brian, having been in many episodes of GoT himself (and Vikings), had lots of information and stories to share. We highly recommend this tour! And if we return to Belfast, we'll definitely book the Iron Islands tour.

We did the Winterfell tour with Robbie as the guide, and James as the driver. It was obvious that our guide, Robbie, is so full of passion and enthusiasm for the show, and we really enjoyed his tales of working on the show. We had a fantastic day, and saw some beautiful countryside, as well as a number of GoT filming locations, and Direwolves!!! Robbie really bought the locations to life even when the cgi had rendered them quite different. Definitely a must do for anyone who watched and enjoyed the show, not just die-hard fans.

This tour was one of the highlights of my trip to Ireland. The "Winterfell" castle itself was a little disappointing (only because A LOT of CGI was used so it looks very different) but the walks we went on in the grounds there plus in the Tollymore Forest were excellent and very well supplemented by video clips and screenshots of what was filmed in those areas. We also got to meet two of the dogs who played Direwolves in the show, after lunch, and met their owners who were also background players in several seasons. But what made the trip truly special was our guide Robbie. I think the best word to describe him is "jolly". He was so enthusiastic all day long! He hilariously told us all about his time as an extra in GoT season 2 and the SEVEN times he died on screen during the Battle of the Blackwater. He is really a gem. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

Robbie our tour guide was excellent and thoroughly made our day more enjoyable. We visited in the second week of August 2019 and the weather was cold, windy and rainy, however, Robbie was excellent in handling this. We visited Winterfell, got to see the direwolves and cast, as well as, visiting Tolleymore Forest Park (where the direwolves were found) and flinging Oathkeeper and Longclaw in a ruins location. It was an excellent day despite the weather. Definitely recommend! There is a bit of walking on some rough terrain so just be wary of this.

AMAZING! Must do if in Northern Ireland, Andrew the tour guide was excellent! He was extremely enthusiastic, and added a bunch of personal stories from working as an extra on the show. All the stories were extremely interesting and for me really made the tour. I read reviews and said the direwolves are not promised, so I didn't get my hopes up to see them. Robbie was a great, enthusiastic and well-read guide on all things Thrones. He was very energetic and clearly knew all his stuff. Really accommodating guy that made sure you saw all the sites and got the photos you wanted. All of the key sites concerning Winterfell and the Stark family were exhausted and were just the perfect amount to ensure you felt satisfied with the tour but not overdone. Would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to do a tour visiting the Stark sites. A must-do for GoT fans. The Richard Madden Appreciation Society will definitely visit again!

We really enjoyed our tour with Adrian. He knew a lot about how the show was filmed, and he worked on the show for a few years. We enjoyed listening to his stories. We also really enjoyed seeing the direwolves and meeting their owners who also appeared on GoT. Our lunch at the Cuan was hot, fresh, and delicious. We definitely recommend this tour! If possible, wear shoes with thick soles or hiking shoes because the terrain is a bit rough at times. I wore regular walking shoes (Sketchers), and I wish I had better shoes because there are a lot of rocks on the path during some parts of the trek. Also, waterproof shoes would be ideal since it might rain or be wet and muddy.

The Winterfell tour with Andrew was brilliant, he was very informative and good fun throughout the whole tour. The fact he was an extra on GOT was an added bonus as we didn't expect the guide to have so much "inside knowledge" or experience of the sets and the filming. Andrews little anecdotes from filming were very funny and allowed us to feel like we were getting a more in depth experience. Andrews passion for GOT really came across throughout the tour. We really liked the photos and examples of where green screen was used and then being able to flip the photo and see the finished product with the CGI. The tour was really well run and organised. The added bonuses and little surprises along the way were great also, I won't list them here as I don't want to spoil the tour for anyone thinking of booking it. Previous to the tour we thought about driving the Iron Islands tour locations ourselves, but after the Winterfell your we will definitely book the Iron Islands tour through Game of Thrones Tours having seen how well structured, informative and fun it is!

We travelled with Jamie the driver and the guide was Robbie. This is a great way to see the GoT locations with a guide who is enthusiastic and a real fan of the show. Robbie's knowledge of the show is great and he also adds local information to add more interest. The trip is very well organised and everything was on time. We had atrocious weather, which couldn't be helped! But, we laughed through it and were sat close to the open fireplace at The Cuan restaurant (I had some wonderful vegetarian food there) to warm.up. We also got to meet Greywind and Summer! I would highly recommend this trip.

Big Game of Thrones fan, so to visit locations that were used for sets on the show was an amazing experience. Brian our tour guide was excellent in providing us information we would have never known or heard about on and off the show. A learned gentleman and such a character. We had a lot of fun and would highly recommend this to any GoT fan.

This was a brilliant tour! Our guide Robbie was so nice and very jolly he was an extra in season 2. He chatted throughout the tour telling us about his experiences on the show whist on the bus and also showed us clips of where we would next be visiting. The places we visited were beautiful. We got on a little ferry to take us over to Strangford where we visited Castle Ward, Inch Abbey and Tollymore Forest. Robbie used clips and picture stills to show where each part was filmed. We also got the chance to dress up and have replica swords of each character which was alot of fun! And to top it off we were lucky enough to meet the two dire wolves from the show who played Summer and Grey Wind. Would highly recommend.

An amazing trip not to be missed at any cost. Not only includes game of thrones but also some amazing locations and trials. Andrew was just great. He explains the back of the camera scenes with so much enthusiasm and energy, he just loves game of thrones. He will answer any questions except for spoilers as he has worked as extra and in the costumes department and as assistant student in the filming section.

This tour was absolutely amazing! It went above and beyond the expectations that I had for it. Not only did we see some of the major sites for GOT filming, but because Brian was in the show and knew others in it as well, he knew a lot of lesser know information and was able to show us a lot of things that would have been missed had we tried to do our own tour. I highly recommend the tour and the company. When I come back to Ireland for another trip, I will definitely be taking this tour again! Keep up the excellent work!
