Arts and Crafts Experience Days: Learn the basics of pottery with this introductory 90-minute session in London! Unwind as you feel the therapeutic benefits of this unique artistic medium, and create your pottery under expert guidance from your tutor. This class is BYOB, so maybe you’ll even be tempted to enjoy a cold beer while you throw your pottery!
Your session will begin when you meet your tutor, Italian potter Davide, at the studio in South West London. You’ll be in safe hands with Davide, who has years of experience under his belt, in a variety of different creative disciplines. Firstly, Davide will take you through the basics of hand-building and throwing on the pottery wheel. Next, it’s time to get messy! Marvel as the clay turns into a beautiful piece of art under the turn of your hands, and enjoy a physical, fun and messy 90 minutes of creativity! Finally, your creation will be air dried only (not waterproofed), ready for you to take home. Alternatively, you can choose to fire and glaze your masterpiece, or leave it for the experts to do. It would cost just £10* per item to do this, and you'll need to arrange collection in 2 weeks' time. Reap the benefits of your own creativity, and display your handmade pottery proudly in your home, or give it away as a gift.
This is a great idea for a day out with friends, and is the ideal experience gift for the creative type in your life who loves to try new things.
