Inverness Isle of Skye Day Tour

Really enjoyable experience, the views are stunning in any weather. Our guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable. I was staying in Portree that night and she kindly dropped me off there on the way back to Inverness. There was more than enough time at each stop to explore and take photos. Overall, a lovely day out and a great way to see Skye.

Unfortunately, I cannot thank you for your tour, because it was canceled at 7:47 yesterday morning, while we were waiting for your bus with my two children: a total desolation for the whole family!!! We also tried to reach you at that time without success and no one was present to assume these two bus cancellations to the Skye Highlands from Inverness in front of all the people delivered to this very disapointed situation.

We enjoyed great photo op stops (hairy coos!) in addition to the castle and, of course, Isle is Skye! The scenery was incredible and our guide, Alex, shared fun stories and educated us some of the Irish terminology. He was a cautious driver and I felt safe even on the narrow windy roads.

It was such a lovely day from Inverness to Skye. Our tour guide - Marita was really friendly, passionate and she also shared all the knowledge/history all the way to different viewpoints. It was a very pleasant and informative day trip and I really enjoyed it. Xx

We travelled to Scotish Highlands to see Loch Ness and Isle of Sky. I booked the tour with this company for me and my family, it was starting 8 in the morning. So we went 15 minutes earlier as they wanted us only to receive a phone call with apologies how we together with 13 more ppl had to be cut off their tour, cause they had to cancel the big bus they had in mind and send 2 smaller minibuses. They refunded our money later, but we didn't want that. We wanted our tour to happen, because the money we spent for tickets to Scotland and hotel etc are way way more... the disappointment also can't be covered. So I definitely don't recommend this company to anyone who doesn't live there, or you might be veeeery disappointed. As I read some reviews here, they have the habit of doing that. My suspicion is when they don't have enough ppl for a second or third minibus, they just cut off people. And this happens July, when it's top season! I can only imagine how many cut offs they do in other seasons... P.S. the drivers that act as guides were very rude to us, we felt like intruders that try to go for free... and in reality our tour was prepaid for!

I went there during the summer with family and friends. I travelled with 2 senior citizens as well. Everyone enjoyed a lot. The driver guide was awesome which entertained all of us during the entire journey. I'd definitely recommend this to others.

Our guide Alex was incredible. He was very informative, lots of fun and extremely accommodating. I give him extra credit for having patience with our friend who sat beside him and wouldn’t quit asking questions and giving her take on every comment each step of the way. He also made a special stop just for us at our hotel on the way home. He was probably happy to be rid of us early. The views, the weather, everything about Scotland was perfect. More beautiful than I ever imagined. Thank you so much.

Marita our tour guide was such an unexpected pleasure! She made our tour so fun! She joked around with us like she was one of our family. It’s all about the people when traveling and Marita was so passionate about Scotland and sharing her knowledge in a fun informal storytelling way that when the tour came to an end we were all sad and wished it could go on! We even asked her to give us another tour the following day but she was booked!

We did the Isle of Skye and Eilean Donan tour in October 2019 and it was great! This tour is perfect if you want to see a lot of the prettiest sights without having to rent a car and drive yourself. Our driver was Ryan and he knew the best spots to stop for great photos. He was also super friendly and very knowledgable about the areas we visited.

Our tour guide Marita was clearly very knowledgable and passionate about the area and added nice side stories along the way. Nice comfortable bus with USB charging. Lots of photo stops. No suggestions for improvement apart from maybe consider electric vehicles for longer term to reduce.carbon footprint.

Overall a great tour from Inverness. Nice spacious bus. As others have noted, expect rain, but we lucked out as sun was shining once we arrived in Skye. Despite some technical difficulties with the mics, our driver and guide powered through and gave us a lot of interesting information. The time in Portree was perfect to eat lunch and briefly walk around, but this was the off-season so I anticipate you may be rushed during the peak months. Also, the ride back was a bit boring after it got dark. Plenty of stops along the way, which is nice, but not all are needed. Would recommend this, but younger kids may get fussy given the tour length. Weather does play a big role in your experience, and if it had rained, I honestly don't think I would have enjoyed it as much. Lastly, I wish we were given more time to hike/walk around at the stops.

We had such a great time with Luke and Vlad leading our tour. Isle of Skye was more beautiful that I had imagined. It was a perfect pace and Luke was a great guide, giving the perfect amount of information and insider tips without being overwhelming. We got so many great pictures thanks to Luke’s tips as well. It was well worth every penny and I’d recommend it to anyone.

Brilliant tour our guide Alex did his best to keep us entertained. However I’ve deducted one star because they didn’t inform us previously that the Kilt rock area is out of bounds and is being repaired and we weren’t able to see it. Neither was it mentioned in the tour anyway. I’m sure they could have at least informed us previously since this issue has happened a few months back and yet their brochure still says Kilt rock. Hope they update their brochure to keep the tourists updated.

I went to Scotland 2 months ago with friends and we booked this tour and it was amazing!! We learned that in Scotland there is lots of "Liquid Sunshine" (rain) all the time, and unfortunately a good part of our trip was rained out and it was foggy making it hard to see some of the sites. Our tour guide Chris from Timberbush was not going to let the weather stop us from having fun though! He went out of his way to make a few extra stops and tried to make the trip extra special for us given the circumstances. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed his great personality and wanting to make the trip awesome. I really appreciated him stopping at the extra stops because we would not have known about those sites otherwise. I highly recommend this tour and here are a few tips: 1. Bring an umbrella, rain coat, and rain boots - It might rain a lot so be prepared to take photos in rain gear and you will at least be dry!! 2. Bring waters and snacks with you - It will save you money and if there are no stores around you will have something with you to eat. It is a long day so you want to be prepared. 3. Be VERY CAREFUL on the bridge at Invermoriston Falls. We stopped for a photo and if you decide to walk over to the bridge the road is very small and cars come extremely close to you so be aware so you do not get hit. 4. When stopping at Portree it is very busy during lunch time as many tourists are all eating at the same time. You can expect wait times and if you decide to eat outside be careful as the seagulls enjoy the fish and chips and will swoop down and take your lunch!! 5. In Scotland you have to pay to use the public bathrooms. We only encountered this once but have change with you just in case. Happy travels and I hope you decide to book this trip!

Really good day out. Lovely scenery. Interesting places. Castle well worth the entrance charge. Guide (and driver) Luke was brilliant, great knowledge, good descriptions, amusing, always finding the best viewpoints. And always considerate for guests’ needs

The sightseeing spots were amazing and I definitely do recommend the tour. Our tour guide Alex was especially exceptional, making the tour all the more fun. However, the seating was extremely uncomfortable as other people took more space than one seat which left me without a seat and I had to sit on the floor of the bus at a point. I think seating people comfortably for a 12 hour ride should be a priority before departure.

We really had a good time with our guide Ryan. He was very friendly, kind and explained us many things about Isle of Skye and Inverness. We could noticed how much he loves living here. He took us to the best spots for taking pictures as well. Despite the bad weather at this time of the year, this place is beautiful and it worth the trip. Highly recommended

EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING! I enjoyed the trip very much and this experience will be memorable for ever! I'm impressed of the nature of the Scotland! I have never seen this kind of beauty again! Also, the company and the stories that the guide was telling us made the whole experience even more unique! I would surely recommend this trip to other friends of mine!

Had a great experience, tension free, hassle free trip to Isle of Skye with numerous stops at beautiful spots for lots of pictures, I would highly recommend a whole day planned out for you. Ryan was a great guide quite courteous with lots of interesting facts and a vast knowledge of all the local landmarks. This was the highlight of our stay.

Our driver, Andy S., shared so many historical facts and also amusing anecdotes and life experiences with us. It made the day fly by in a very enjoyable way. Clear instructions were given as to how much time we had to explore each stop and the time allotted was a good fit for what there was to see. Had a wonderful time!

It was amazing! Marita was our tour guide, she was so knowledgeable, friendly and wanted to do her best for us. It was just 5 of us in a small coach. The best ever! It was so comfortable, great company, amazing views, and everything I hoped for. I will do this again.

Amazing day! Our tour guide Luke (Skywalker) set the scene giving us commentary and playing music whilst travelling through the Highlands. The weather was picturesque! Eilean Donan castle is well worth a visit and then over on Skye we got amazing photos via drone! The photos turned out amazing thanks to Luke's skills and will be memories/picture we will cherish forever! Unforgettable day! Thanks Luke!

I reluctantly bought this trip, as I don’t prefer big groups. Turns out I had nothing to worry about! Marita, our guide and driver, was super friendly, extremely interesting and funny too! She took us to super spots, and always went the extra mile to make sure everyone was happy. Her driving was extremely professional, and the commentary was interesting, but not too over detailed. Thanks!
