What is There to Do in Somerset

Unique Gifts and Days Out in Somerset

Somerset is well known for its bountiful archaeological sites, providing extensive fossils and bones dating back to 12,000BC - and of course the oldest complete skeleton found in Britain; Cheddar Man. There are plenty of guided tours to join in Somerset, including trips to Wookey Hole and tours of Glastonbury, but also plenty of free activities in Somerset for those who want to explore the land without breaking the bank. Cheddar Gorge is free to visit, and Minehead and Weston-Super-Mare make great family holiday destinations with fantastic beaches. Who says you need to go abroad to enjoy a family vacation?

There may be a great deal of cheese made in Somerset, but the county is also great for food festivals, tastings and cookery classes. For chocolate-lovers, there's a chocolate workshop in Bath to get tucked in to, or a 2 hour chocolate making workshop in Bristol where you can make a bespoke hollowed chocolate and a range of decadent truffles. One of the most popular things to do in Somerset is to take a scenic ride on the East Somerset Railway steam train, choosing to either simply take in the sights or indulge in a hot Sunday lunch! For those looking to experience thrills and high-octane adventures, there are go-karting tracks, paintballing venues, and even supercar hire centres where you can pick up a Jaguar F-Type for the weekend - there's never a dull moment in Somerset!

No trip would be complete without a visit to The Museum of Somerset, which is free to enter and boasts one of the largest collections of Roman coins ever found. History buffs and budding archaeologists alike will be enthralled by the many exhibits on show, and can also visit such establishments as Glastonbury Abbey, Fleet Air Arm Museum, and Farleigh Hungerford Castle overlooking the River Frome. Somerset is also an idyllic place to escape for some relaxation and rejuvenation, with a number of spas, fishing sites, and even hot air ballooning on offer for the ultimate getaway in the south west. Enjoy!

Excellent intro to Studio Recording. However, musicians might be better off simply booking a couple of hours with a local studio to save money and be able to perform the music as well as the vocal. However, if you want to sing along to a backing track and have it recorded and mixed to a high standard... then this is ideal. I very much enjoyed it and it has encouraged me to book more studio time in the future - but i'll bring the instruments next time.

The company we went to were extremely helpful and we couldn't give them enough praise for making our experience day special. They couldn't have been more constructive, friendly and professional. We thoroughly enjoyed the day.
