STAFF REVIEW: CAMDEN PUB WALKING TOUR FOR TWO

If you and a friend are wanting a night out in London but are struggling to get a group of friends together or don’t know where to go, then the Camden Pub Walking Tour is the perfect experience to join. Have a read of our staff review to find out more about this fantastic evening!

After arriving at Camden Town Station, we walked for around 10 minutes to the first venue, All Bar One and were instantly welcomed over by a very smiley and friendly team, who were leading the walking tour. The guides explained how the night would run, where we would be going and what was included as part of the tour – I definitely didn’t want to miss out on hearing about the unbelievable deals for the night!

It wasn’t long before everyone in the tour was introducing themselves to each other and clearly getting very excited for the night ahead. It was brilliant that at each venue we were entitled to free entry, given a free shot on arrival and discounted drinks. At the first venue I couldn’t believe that it was only £5 for any cocktail of the menu, for only those on the tour.

We spent around 30-45 minutes at each location, which was plenty of time to get another drink, mingle with guests, and enjoy the venue’s entertainment before moving onto something new. Depending on the day of the week the tour guide would decide on the most popular venues to visit, so although it was a Tuesday and you would expect it to be very quiet around the town, we did find ourselves surrounded by a lot of people throughout the night. Every venue that we went into, I was pleased by the overall experience as they all had very different atmospheres, which made it a lot of fun by the real variety. For example,  one bar was outside with a live performer and at another bar they had live karaoke, which was very popular and entertaining to watch – somehow I did end up performing which was a lot of fun!

I found this walking tour a brilliant experience, as I loved being taken to a number of different pubs around Camden, that I probably would never have found. All the venues were well selected as they had a great atmosphere and reasonable priced drinks – this is always very important on a night out. Also by being on a tour I found that it was easy to meet new people as everyone wanted to get to know you and were very friendly.
