Shooting Experience Days: Ready, aim, fire! Perfect your target skills with this ultimate shooting combo experience in East Sussex. Mixing a variety of target sports including clay, target and practical shooting - by the end of the day you'll be a pro. Whether you have previous experience in shooting or you're a total beginner - the Ultimate Shooting Experience is suitable for anyone at any level.

Your day will begin at the shooting academy, where you’ll meet your instructor and attend a full safety briefing. This experience is run by fully qualified NRA, BASC and NRSA instructors so you'll be in the best of hands. Once you’re comfortable with handling each gun you’re ready to hit the range. You'll spend time with each gun, starting with the target rifles before moving on to the clay pigeon shooting and finishing with practical shooting 3 Gun Stage. Throughout the day you will use a selection of guns including; 12G Pump action shotgun, M4 Assault rifle, a 12G Semi Auto shotgun, 410 Shotgun, 17HMR Sniper Rifle, Bolt action Sniper rifle 22LR, C02 Pistol or HW100 PCP Rifle.

The day starts at 10.00am and will finish at 16.00pm. Lunch is not included, so participants will either need to bring their own packed lunch, or purchase something from the local supermarket in the lunch break.

Venue held in an enclosed quarry by Dave can't thank him enough for a wicked day out from start to finish. He attended to everyone patiently especially the girls whom he let use slightly less powerful shotguns rifles. Dave then let us play some competitive games at end which really got your adrenaline going never had a day like it, absolutely superb Dave!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the gun range yesterday, and I must say it was an extraordinary experience. This was my second time visiting, and I am already eagerly looking forward to my next visit, should the opportunity arise. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff who made me feel welcome and ensured I had everything I needed for a safe and enjoyable shooting session. The whole day was on point. It was good getting down to Sussex to shoot targets for the day. It’s not been my first time and probably not my last. Me and the guys really enjoy it. Our guide for the day also has a vast amount of knowledge to share about the various guns we use, gun safety and national laws around guns, his expertise really shows. You won’t be disappointed.

This was my fourth experience event at a shooting range with fire-arms and was by far the best I have done in the UK (one was in the USA). Although the location may raise an eyebrow on arrival, looks are deceiving and the ground is well planned with safety being the top priority followed by the enjoyment and satisfaction of the participants. Dave is a superb, personable instructor, very experienced and totally accommodating to novices and experienced clients alike. You can be assured of a great day not only in sampling the numerous types of gun to be experienced but also learning about numerous aspects of fire-arm safety, competitive shooting and some of the regulations that apply to gun ownership and use in the UK.

My other half got me a shooting experience day with Dave and she has a weird knack for getting amazing gifts. This was no different. Dave is the sort of guy you can just talk to, have a laugh with but he clearly knows his stuff and explains things clearly and safely. The day felt cosy, yet exciting. I would advise anyone on the fence about it, to just book in. If you're a bit funny about firearms - go along anyway and you'll learn something. If you're already into it, then go along and enjoy a great day with a great guy and some lovely people in the fresh air. Cannot recommend enough. Thank you Dave!

What a day ! we had booked this day for a friend of mine for his birthday and didn’t quite know what to expect, on arrival Dave met us and made us feel welcome and at ease straight away, he went through all the safety aspects and each gun as we used it and patient while loading as we hadn’t used any of the guns before. Dave’s professionalism and passion for shooting is evident but also made it such great fun. I highly recommend this day out.

Fantastic day out with a very knowledgable tutor. Dave really knows his stuff & our group of 5 women were made to feel welcome. It was fab to be able to use a real variety of guns on a course that is lots of fun. The grand finale at the end with 3 different guns was brilliant & brought out the competitive streak in all of us! I was not Expecting to enjoy this day as I was only going along as some company for my boyfriend.I was Amazed at how well I did and how much I enjoyed the day I beat all of the men in the compertition and now have found a new sport that i never in a million years would have thought I would be doing.Shooting Disciplines vary greatly and this day was brilliant as it coverd most of them. It was really well ran and everybody on the day was itching for more by the end of it. Well done Dave and Ollie 10 out of 10

This Day was Totally unique. I have done a number of shooting experience days throughout the Uk and abroad but this day knocks the spots off of them all. There is so much variety on this day it really lets you get a good basic understanding of the differences in the Firearms you are legally allowed to shoot in the UK and the purpose for each and everyone of them as equipment for the various Target Sport disciplines undertaken I did not realise that there was so many Disciplines in Shooting ie 3 Gun, PRS,Target Rifle , Practical Shotgun, clay pigeon, Action Air, Practical Pistol, Steel Challenge, Mini Rifle, Cowboy Action Etc. and on this day you get an insight to them all The instructor Is First class and very knowledgeable He made us feel very comfortable and very safe and in the end very confident in our ability to safely use the various Guns. All in all an excellent experience for anyone interested in Target Shooting I would give this Day 10 out of 10

This experience day was absolutely incredible! So much fun, so interesting and such great value. Dave is the instructor and he is such a caring, knowledgeable and passionate person - you can really tell he loves it and is genuinely happy when you're doing well. Throughout the day you get to fire so many guns and a lot of ammunition - you do not finish the day feeling short changed! There's a great mix of shooting too, so you're bound to find at least one which you're good at. Dave explains that your build has nothing to do with your ability to shoot, and that was really true, as my girlfriend who is 5ft2 beat me on pretty much every single gun! I would recommend this to anyone and will definitely do it again myself!

I went to this experience this weekend with my partner for his birthday. It was honestly one of the best experiences ever. Dave is an incredibly knowledgeable and personable instructor - he knows his stuff and answered any questions we had. He is professional enough to ensure your safety but also doesn’t make you feel under pressure and really helps you master the many mangy guns you get to try. Great value for money! Safe! And loads of fun. You get to try out different target practices and challenges throughout the day and then run a course with multiple guns at the end. Would highly recommend this experience to anyone that wants to challenge themselves and meet a great group of people.

The entire family had an amazing day out. There were a variety of firearms; rifles, shotguns, semi-automatic and pistols that each of us got to try out. The experience was well organised with sufficient time for multiple activities and the tutor, Dave, was very friendly and patient. There was even a competition at the end that was adrenaline filled and very well run. Altogether it was a fantastic day out for the entire family or a group of friends - we would definitely like to do this again!

So, we interviewed David from 3xtreme to find out more about his action-filled day during the Ultimate Shooting Experience In Sussex. From reading this interview you'll get to know a lot more about the fantastic full day experience, the gun selection they have and what makes this shooting experience so unique compared to others in the UK.

Q1: Firstly, for anyone who hasn’t participated in shooting experience before, could you explain what happens in your sessions?

This shooting day is a mix of different shooting disciplines, target shooting , clay pigeon shooting and practical shooting. The day accumulates with a 3 gun match, which is set against the clock, so a mix of speed and accuracy is required to do well in the challenge. A stage is set with 25 targets which have to be taking out with three different guns. A pump action shotgun, a semiautomatic M4 machine gun, and a CO2 pistol. If you want to see a good 3 gunner in action just Google 'Keanu Reeves 3 Gun' and you'll see how a bit of practice can turn an actor into a potential 3 gun champion.

Q2: What differentiates your ultimate shooting experience to others?

I don't know another company in the country that offers a day like this one, which is, as varied in these different styles of shooting and that uses as many guns as we do on this day.

Q3: What is the most memorable moment, during one of your full day ultimate shooting experiences?

I think one of my most enjoyable moments of a day we ran last summer was when a 17-year-old young lady who had never shot before outshot the other seven participants on the day all of whom had shot before. She obviously had a talent for shooting that she did not even know about she then went on to join a club and now competes have a very high standard and is enjoying a great new sport.

Q4: You have an impressive number of guns available during the shooting experience, what is the main difference between them all?

Each gun is different if not in caliber then in the style of the action or the way the gun works. This is so you get a varied experience of the different styles of guns that are available to shoot in this country and get a better understanding of how different actions Will perform.

Q5: As the shooting experience is a full day activity, what facilities do you have for participants to have a break?

There is a lunch break built into this day and there is a local Tesco store, which is just two minutes down the road, which has all the amenities for a substantial lunch break.

Q6: I know that 3xtreme have a very strong focus on customer service, but how do you tailor a group session so that you help both beginners and professionals get the most out of their shooting experience?

Challenges are set to accommodate different levels of proficiency ranging from the very beginner to the more experienced shooter but this day also offers a very varied choice of disciplines, so even very experienced shooters may not have tried some of the disciplines on offer.

I would love to do this for my husbands birthday, although I werent thinking to take part. I can see it says no to spectators, can I ask why this is the case?

I have spoken with the venue regarding this Ultimate Shooting Experience, they have confirmed that one spectator will be allowed to watch at no extra fee however no more than this.

Can I bring along a spectator to the Ultimate Shooting Experience in Sussex?

Unfortunately, this is not suitable for non participating guests.

This experience uses pellets and not bullets.
