Enjoy a 5-hour wildlife photography lesson in Yorkshire - and learn to photograph safari animals like a pro!

Photography Experience Days: Are you—or is someone you know—an aspiring wildlife photographer? Have you watched every David Attenborough doc going? Well, check this out! It’s a five-hour wildlife photography lesson in Doncaster’s Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Led by an expert instructor, it’ll teach you how to take stunning images of lions, tigers, giraffes, and more!

Since it opened in 2009, Yorkshire Wildlife Park has become one of the UK’s top walk-through animal attractions. The park is home to over four hundred animals, and it’s dedicated to promoting their conservation and welfare worldwide. Your voucher includes entry to the park, where you’ll be greeted by lesson instructor Rachel Sinclair. Rachel is a passionate wildlife photographer and animal-lover with experience teaching students from all walks of life. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a keen hobbyist, she’ll show you how to make the most of your equipment while photographing ring-tailed lemurs, lions, tigers, giraffes and more. Over a lively five hours, you’ll cover several of your camera’s key manual settings—including aperture, shutter speed and ISO. You’ll also discuss shot composition and discover the best angles to capture these photogenic (but occasionally camera-shy!) subjects. When the lesson concludes, you’re free to stay on inside the park, before leaving with loads of newfound skills and a memory card-full of photos to share with family and friends.

The wildlife photography experience in Yorkshire would make a unique experience gift for anyone who enjoys photography and animals—naturally. Treat them to an Experience Days gift voucher today!

On the day I headed over to meet Rachel and the other people taking part, it was a small group with just 4 on the course. Rachel was able to help everyone individually depending on what their needs were too. Before we headed around the park Rachel sat us down to explain the day, our cameras and the key points on how to capture a good picture. Rachel was so helpful, not only in how to use the various settings bit also how to think about what I wanted to capture and how I would do this. Throughout the day it was never rushed and I never felt like I was taking up too much time. The rest of the group I found were encouraging too which is good to take inspiration from those who had a little bit more experience than I did. I have taken so much from the day, not just how to use my camera but how to think more about photography on a whole. This experience day will always be something I will remember.
