Richard did a fabulous job of giving a real glimpse into the life of Winston Churchill. It’s a walking tour of places he lived, shopped and governed from. Luckily it was a nice day for a 2 hour walk around London…and then capped off with the tour of Churchill’s War Rooms. It was nice that this part was a self tour…you could spend as much time as you liked. There’s a lot to see in the bunker so be prepared to spend a good bit of time there. I would highly recommend this tour…especially if you are a Churchill aficionado!!! Thanks Richard!

We really enjoyed our private tour of Winston Churchill's London. Our guide, Mark, was very knowledgeable and took us to some unusual places, such as Churchill's cigar store and haberdasher. Being such a small group, we were allowed to look around and get a real feel for these places that we would normally not even have known about. I'd say the only negative was that the War Rooms were so crowded and hot, but that certainly was not the tour operators' fault. We highly recommend this tour.

Richard was a fantastic storyteller and gave us a lot of information that we didn't know about Winston Churchill and a smattering of others along the way. As he greets you, he asks what you are looking to learn and where you are from, and he caters his narrative to your needs/wants. He got us into the War Rooms easily and because he gave us so much information during the walk, we didn't get overwhelmed taking in all the information at the War Rooms. I highly recommend this private experience with him and like others have mentioned, he makes you feel as if you are walking and talking with a friend, rather than just a tour guide.

Richard was fantastic. He met us at our hotel and walked for a few hours around the city as he talked about all of the historical spots. He took us by my favorite perfume store for a sniff of Winston’s favorite cologne. We had to buy some too. We also stopped in at his cigar shop and tailor shop where we did a little shopping too. Thorough and very much enjoyable walking history of Sir Winston Churchill- despite the rain! We were shown places that we would never had seen without the expertise of our guide- James J. Fox Cigar Merchant and Turnbull & Asser. He also showed us Dukes bar where the famous line “ shaken not stirred” originated. We ended walking tour at the Churchill War Rooms- which is not to be missed whether or not you do a private tour.
