Windsurf Course – RYA Start Windsurfing – Berkshire

Windsurfing Experience Days: Discover the exciting and exhilarating sport of windsurfing with this incredible 6 hour course (split into two 3 hour sessions) that will teach you all the basic skills. Windsurfing is a cross between two of the most popular water sports around, surfing and sailing, and is both physically and technically challenging as well as totally thrilling! However, with correct tuition and modern equipment, you will breeze through this great introductory course. The RYA Start Windsurfing course is perfect for people who haven’t windsurfed before and by the end you will have learnt all the essential skills. 

During this 6 hour course (split into two 3 hour sessions), you will cover all the fundamentals of windsurfing, teaching you the basics of getting on the water and sailing the board across the wind and back. The course will cover being introduced to the board and rig, simulator work on land, balancing and rig handling techniques, learning how to control upwind and downwind windsurfing, safety and self-rescue techniques. With qualified instructors to help at all stages, learning the first steps will be an exciting and enjoyable experience, and you should be able to capably sail an area by the end of the course and be ready to move your skills on. On successful completion you will receive the RYA certificate and logbook to record your skills.
