The RYA Start Sailing award is perfect for those who are serious about learning to sail: this superb and hugely enjoyable 8 hour course (split into two 4-hour sessions) will give you a comprehensive introduction to this awesome sport, covering all the know how required to get started. You will gain an important understanding of different handling techniques and a background knowledge of sailing, whilst enjoying an exciting and memorable experience. With expert supervision and all equipment included, you can learn the basics and so much more - give this fantastically thrilling sport a go now and see just how far you come! Throughout the two day course you will learn all about boat controls, boat handling and experience sailing out on the open water by yourself. Your instructor will take you through the basics of rigging and safety aspects. Much of your time will be spent afloat learning basic manoeuvres and by the end of the course you will be able to helm a dinghy under the supervision of an instructor. Logbook and handbooks are included in the cost of the course and upon successful completion an RYA certificate.
