Yorkshire might be best known for its tea, villages and countryside, but this awesome region has so much more to offer. If you’re visiting Yorkshire with your partner – or you live here and want to enjoy a special day out – look no further.

Yorkshire is packed full of fun experiences, and whether you’re into ghosts or gin, there’s something for every couple here. Check out four of our favourite Yorkshire couples' activities to get inspired.

    |        Ghost Bus Tour of York for 2

If you’re a couple fascinated by the supernatural, why not test your nerves on The Ghost Bus Tour of York

York is said to be the most haunted city in England, so this isn’t an experience for the faint of heart! Climb aboard a 1960's Routemaster bus driven by a creepy conductor – then, buckle up tight as this spine-tingling horror-comedy tour revs into gear.
You’ll be driven down York’s spooky streets as you learn about this city’s blood-curdling history, visit iconic landmarks such as York Minster, Clifford's Tower and Dick Turpin's grave, and discover the mysteries and horrors that shaped this ancient city.

Hear tales of ghosts, apparitions and murder as you explore York’s terrifying underbelly – but just when things threaten to get too scary, your actor guides will lighten the mood with a bit of comedy. A truly unique experience that will make you shake with fear and laughter.

    |        Beer Brewing Experience

Why not treat your other half to a Full Day Beer Brewing Experience? If you're other half's a beer enthusiast itching to learn the ins and outs of brewing that sweet amber nectar, we've got the perfect activity for you and your special someone. Get ready for a full day brewery experience at one of the amazing Brewhouse and Kitchen venues!

The fun begins at a leisurely ten in the morning, but hold your horses, it's not time for a boozy drink just yet! You'll start off with a nice cuppa while getting a rundown of what the day has in store. Then, it's time to roll up your sleeves and dive right into the brewing process.

Once your belly's full and you're raring to go, it's time for the transfer, re-circulation, and sparging steps. By this point, you'll probably be feeling a bit peckish, so we'll break for a well-deserved lunch. And guess what? You'll get to pair it with yet another beer because, let's face it, you've definitely earned yourself a pint by now!

Fast forward to five o'clock, and you'll be a brewing maestro, having gone through all the steps and even tidied up. Now, you have two options: head home and bask in the glory of your newfound brewing knowledge or saunter back to the pub for another well-deserved pint. Tough choice, right? Before you leave, though, each participant will receive a certificate of completion and a 5L mini-keg filled with the beer you brewed on the day (worth a cool £25) to take home.

    |        Leeds Food Tour

If you're a couple who prefers food and eating to anything else, why not give your taste buds a treat on the Leeds Food Tour

Led by a local foodie guide, these tours are a unique chance to explore Leeds’ flourishing culinary scene and discover some of the city’s best-kept food secrets – according to your specific taste preferences.

Visit Leeds’ best independent pubs and restaurants on the local Leeds food tour, and sample delicious food at one of Europe’s largest covered markets. If street food is more your thing, why not eat your way through this city’s street food scene, feasting on everything from bao buns to falafels?

If you’re plant-based, you can discover the city’s best vegan eateries, including pop-ups, restaurants and street food stalls, as you try all kinds of vegan food – from indulgent treats to healthy snacks. However you decide to explore the Leeds food scene, you and your partner will leave full, happy, and satisfied.

    |        Yorkshire Gold Coast Helicopter Flight

Or why not surprise your loved one with a thrilling aerial adventure? The Yorkshire ‘Gold’ Coast Helicopter Tour will take your relationship to brand new heights!

Setting off from Walton Wood aerodrome, you’ll fly over York and take in some of its most famous sights, including York Minster, York Racecourse and the old city walls. You’ll then hover over historic Castle Howard, before soaring over the stunning North Yorkshire Moors, and heading in the direction of the coast.

You’ll fly over the popular seaside town of Whitby and admire unrivalled views of its famous Abbey – which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula! Next, you’ll fly south along the rugged coastline, passing over Robin Hoods Bay, Scarborough Castle, and the chalk cliffs of Bempton Cliffs.

A helicopter ride is something everyone should experience at least once, and sharing this thrilling activity with your partner only makes it more special.

The menu may change with the seasons, but trust us, it's always drool-worthy. Expect mouth-watering sandwiches like smoked salmon with lemon-infused crème fraiche, roast ham with spiced carrot chutney, and sliced cucumber with dreamy cream cheese. And when it comes to the sweet stuff, get ready for a tantalizing array of treats.
