If you're here, we guess it's time to celebrate the unsung hero of home life—the one and only Dad! We all know that Dads are the masters of relaxation, champions of lounging, and aficionados of all things cosy. So why not honour our beloved patriarchs with some at-home gifts that'll make their Dad caves even more legendary?

Now, before you start scratching your head, pondering what on earth could possibly impress the man who claims to know it all, fear not! We've rounded up a collection of goodies that are sure to make your old man jump with joy (or at least muster up a proud chuckle).  From the hilariously practical to the ridiculously comfortable, these gifts will make your dad think, "Wow, my children really do know how to spoil me!"

So sit back, relax, and get ready to embark on a journey through the land of extraordinary dad-approved gifts. We promise you'll find something here that'll have your old man grinning from ear to ear—and maybe even considering making you the favourite child (hey, a kid can dream, right?).

Let's dive into the marvellous world of at-home gifts for Dad, where laughter and comfort collide to create the ultimate tribute to the one who taught us how to fix stuff, make bad puns, and navigate life with a twinkle in our eyes. There’s a whole range of thrilling new gift packages and activities you would previously never have imagined being able to enjoy from home... just waiting to be sent to your front door!

    Men's Grooming:

As the world forgets toxic masculinity and embraces the man who loves to take pride in his appearance, grooming products for men have exploded with popularity. Yes, men like to sit back, relax, slap a face mask on, pour a large glass of wine and maybe even put some cucumbers over their eyes. So, for the father who’s in dire need of a spa day, we’ve got a great selection of products to leave him feeling relaxed, and ready to take on whatever at-home project he’s decided to start (...and probably never finish).

I’m sure you’ve been wondering whether at home spa kits are a thing, right? Yes. They are, and there are loads to choose from! Etsy is a great site to search for bespoke and unique gifts of any category, and spa gift packages are no exception. This Gentlemen’s Spa Kit from Monita comes in a sturdy and elegantly designed box, with everything your dad needs to give himself a well-deserved pampering. Inside, he'll find a charcoal facial bar, aftershave, a facial scrub, hand salve and aromatherapy bath salts. All ingredients are completely natural, vegan and organic (plus they smell A-MAZE-ing).

It’s definitely on the pricier side at £44.78 + delivery from America, so, if this is way over your budget, then my second top recommendation is the Ultimate Men's Spa Pamper Box. This is priced from £21 and includes nose pore strips, charcoal masks, eye masks, Pukka tea bags and more. It may not come in a fancy box, but if you order one of those while you’re at it, you can save yourself a little money!

    Gentlemen's Spa Kit - From £44.78

Ultimate Men's Spa Pamper Box - From £21

For the dad who loves to relax, but who is also super bored, we have this lavender soap making kit. Not only can he learn to make soap - which was notoriously made cool by the film Fight Club - he can then have a relaxing bubble bath using his own creation (another notoriously cool pastime.) Purchasing this through Experience Days also means you’ll get a personalised gift card sent directly to his door, meaning he can then control when he wants to receive his box!

His box will be sent first class straight to his home. The kit itself is a fun and user-friendly experience, consisting of easy to follow step-by-step instructions and high quality, organic ingredients that are sure to be kind to Dad’s skin. Unlike Fight Club, this is completely safe, with the soap base being already pre-made and ready to add your extra bits to. Dad will get to control the ingredients, colour, and fragrance of his soap, and most importantly, this makes a whole soap loaf, so he won’t need to buy soap for months!

Lavender Soap Making Kit - £30

Subscription boxes are the gifts that keep on giving, and this 6-month luxury wet shave box from The Personal Barber will do exactly that - giving dad 6 separate gifts to enjoy every month rather than just the one! The first box will include a double-edged safety razor, blades, brush, shaving soap and cream. Each month dad will receive a box full of completely new items, meaning he will get to sample a wide range of the best shaving products available on the market. This includes both pre and post shave products such as oils, balms and colognes. If you know that your dad shaves and is tired of cheap razors and skin irritation, this is the perfect gift for him. Currently only £93.80 for the 6-month gift set.

The Personal Barber, 6 Month Shaving Subscription - From £115.80

    Foodie Gifts:

Whether your dad fancies himself a Henston Blumenthal in the kitchen, or is in desperate need of some cooking lessons, food gifts are great for foodies and novices alike. After all, everyone eats food, so that must make it a safe bet!

There are foodie gifts of all shapes and sizes. Since lockdown, many local businesses and restaurants have started to sell food boxes full of fresh fruit, veg and essentials to help further supply those who can’t get to a supermarket (although let’s be honest, a box of cabbage and carrots doesn’t make the most exhilarating Father’s Day gift..)

We’ve put together a few fun options that are available nationwide, but we also recommend looking around your local areas to discover what your small and local businesses may be offering during lock-down. For example, in London you can get finish at home food kits from Monty’s Deli, Supa Ya and CHIN CHIN (to name a few). In Brighton, you can get Michelin Guide recommended, finish at home food delivered to your door, for the ultimate celebratory dinner. These are a select few examples, but there will be places all over the country with their own solution to help food lovers get their fix, so start searching!

If your dad is a big fan of Indian food, then look no further than this meal kit & cooking lesson from The Kari Club. The Kari Club was founded by Minesh Agnihotri, co-owner of the popular Brighton restaurant Indian Summer. After trialling the Brits' take on Indian food, Minesh decided he needed to do something to bring the real authentic flavours of India to Britain.

Minesh’s boxes can be delivered nationwide, and include an in-depth recipe sheet and pre-recorded step-by-step video to watch as you cook along with Minesh. The ingredients are all freshly sourced from the UK, and include high quality meat, seafood and vegetables. There are also veggie and vegan boxes available, and boxes can easily be made to suit specific dietary requirements on request. All the spices have been measured out, so that you don’t have to worry about any waste or extra ingredients laying around the house. The portion sizes are very generous though, so you might need to make space for leftovers in the fridge, depending on how hungry you are!

Ann’s Smart School of Cookery has been teaching people to cook in Essex and London since Ann was on BBC’s Masterchef in 2009. She took her love and knowledge for cooking, and decided to share it with everyone who was interested to learn.

The great thing about a cooking lesson is that is becomes an experience and a lasting memory, due to the fact that you’re with other classmates, cooking along and interacting with others as well as your teacher. This is why Ann has chosen to run her new online cooking classes in a way to get as close to the real thing as possible!

During your experience, you'll watch a live cooking demonstration with a group of other students around the country. You are welcome to cook along at the same time as Ann, but you are also welcome to try your hand after the tutorial in your own time. You’ll get the chance to interact with like-minded people and Ann herself in a Q&A session after the lesson. You can choose from classes that will cover Knife Skills, Indian Cooking, Spanish Tapas and Italian pasta dishes. Whichever you choose, you’ll be sent a detailed recipe before the lesson, with exact ingredients, quantities and equipment needed, so that you can make your new dish time and time again.

30-60 Minute Cooking Class with Ann's Smart School of Cookery - From £9

If we’re talking stereotypes here, dads LOVE burgers. Just think of him now, standing at the BBQ with tongs in one hand and beer in the other, grilling up those delicious circles of yumminess, ready to throw into a bun for all round food satisfaction. Well, something lockdown has given us is the opportunity to up our burger game. Who needs to eat out when you can bring the burgers right to your door? And the best bit? There are loads of burger making kits from high-end restaurants available for nationwide delivery, meaning no matter where dad lives, he gets to enjoy his meaty masterpiece in the comfort of his own garden. Some of our favourites include:

The Burger Kit from Patty & Bun

The Vegan Burger Kit from The Vurger Co.

    Drinks:

If your dad loves a drink or two, whether it’s beer, whiskey, wine or coffee, he may be getting a little tired of receiving the same bottles of alcohol at every occasion. So, why not make things more interesting and mix it up a little? I know I’m always looking for some more exciting ways to get my dad drunk.

This at home beer brewing workshop is the perfect gift for any dad who loves a lock-down project, especially when it includes getting to enjoy the fruits of his hard-earned labour! This kit is from London Beer Lab, who have been hosting beer brewing workshops for years. When lock-down hit, they thought this would be the perfect opportunity to get the community to start having a go at brewing their own beer at home.

Dad will receive all he needs to make 5L of his own brew in the post. This includes all the equipment, as well as how-to videos and step-by-step, written instructions. He’ll even get a choice between making a bitter or pale ale. Doing this with the at-home kit means that he’ll have all the time he needs to pause the video, have a break, and take the process at his own, relaxed pace. Before you know it (2 weeks later), he’ll be bottling up his beer and sending it over to you to have a taste. London Beer Lab even offer the option of joining an online communal brew day chat, to help troubleshoot any problems with the experts themselves. This also provides the opportunity to ask questions and get to know your fellow beer enthusiasts!

At Home Beer Brewing Workshop - From £80

All dads are different, and beer might not be his drink. Personally, my dad has one pint and complains that he’s got a headache - but he loves to sip a dram of whiskey in the evenings while he watches Midsomer Murders. The problem is, he’s got a drinks cupboard overflowing with different bottles of whisky. Every birthday, Christmas and Father’s Day, it’s everyone’s go-to gift. But sometimes a whole bottle of whisky is not only space but also time-consuming, as they can take a while to get through. Not to mention if you want to treat him to a nice one, they’re definitely not cheap!

That’s where the Dram Team come in, providing the perfect gift subscription boxes for any whisky connoisseur. Each box has a selection of 6 dram-sized, premium whisky bottles, meaning your dad will get the chance to sample whiskeys that would usually be around £180 for a full bottle. They offer a Whiskey Tasting Club Subscription option at £32.50 and a Three Month Gift Subscription at £99. The boxes are stylishly presented, and all come with individual detailed cards of the whiskeys he’ll be sampling, making it the perfect gift for any whisky lover.

Whiskey Tasting Club Subscription - From £32.50

Dram Team 3 Month Gift Subscription - From £99

We know not all dads drink alcohol, so we thought we would throw in some alternative options. Personally, I can barely tell the difference between an awful cup of coffee and a fancy one, but this blog post isn’t about me, it’s about Father’s Day!

If your dad is a coffee drinker, this is a great gift to treat him to. Available across the UK, Pact Coffee offer a range of differently priced gift cards, meaning your dad can choose from a selection of different coffee grains and make his own custom coffee plan. Some of the different varieties include coffee with hints of blackcurrant syrup from Rwanda, chocolate orange from Brazil, and even a chocolate malt milkshake flavour!

    Books:

If your dad has rediscovered his love of reading in the past couple of months, or if he’s always been a fan, there are some really interesting and unique reading subscription boxes around. Perfect for the indecisive father who’s never sure what to read next, subscription book boxes mean that there’s someone in charge of making sure he's reading the best of the best. No longer will Dad have to worry about wasting money or time on a boring book. Even more appealing, he doesn’t have to do anything at all! The book will turn up at his doorstep when he’s ready to read it, then he can read the books at his own pace.

Willoughby Book Club are one of the biggest names in the online reading game, and what’s most appealing about this gift box is the choice! You can select from a three, six or twelve month subscription. After that, you’ll have a variety of categories to choose from depending on what your dad is into. The options include crime, fiction, natural history, homes & gardening and more. If Dad is constantly genre-hopping and you don’t want to choose just one, there’s also a ‘bespoke’ option. If you choose this option, you’ll need to list all your dad’s interests, as well as his favourite authors and genres so that they can get books specifically tailored to his personality.  For every subscription purchased, Willoughby donate a book to Book Aid International, in the hopes that one day everyone all over the world will have access to all kinds of literature. Each book comes gift wrapped, making it an extra special present.

Willoughby Book Club Gift Box - From £39.99

Willoughby Book Club Bespoke Option - From £44.99

    Gift a New Skill:

For many, lock-down is the first time in a while that they've had this amount of free time on their hands, and has encouraged many to use this time to try and learn some new skills. I’m sure the Duolingo app is flooded with people excited to finally learn a new language, now they’ve got a spare minute! We’ve put together some interesting, unique, and enjoyable stay at-home lessons, classes and learning activities. If Dad loves to learn something new or take on challenges, these are a great selection of ways for him to keep busy.

Masterclass is one of the most well known online learning platforms, not only because its notable selection of household names and famous celebrities who have offered up their time to teach you the tricks of their trade, but also because it has such a wide and unique range of lessons! No matter how niche your interests, Masterclass is likely to have you covered.

There are cooking lessons with Gordon Ramsey, self-expression classes with RuPaul, and film-making with Martin Scorsese. One of our top picks for Dad’s new at-home skill is Gardening with Ron Finley. These classes cost £170 for a yearlong membership to all the courses on the site. You’re then free to take each course at your own speed. Ron will teach Dad all kind of skills, such as how to get creative with your garden, using old drawers to create the perfect gardening bed, and how to grow his own vegetables and herbs (and, most importantly, how not to kill everything). Gardening is just one of the many interesting options available, and we think when it comes to learning from the best, this year-long subscription is well worth the money!

Depending on your dad’s views when it comes to ghosts and the supernatural, a ghost hunting course could be quite an unusual suggestion. The Online Paranormal Investigation Course will teach anyone all they need to know to start conducting their own ghost hunts. If your dad was ever a fan of the television show Ghosthunters, there’s a possibility he might find a bit of fun in this course. The six modules cover different types of ghost hunting equipment, channelling techniques, types of spirit, how to set up your own investigation and finally, understanding why some spirits find it difficult to move on. Dad will even receive a certificate at the end of the course, meaning he can tell anyone who wants to listen that he’s a certified ghost hunter. If you know Dad’s recently started taking an interest in the supernatural, or think that this might help him connect with a rogue spirit that’s been floating around the house, then why not gift him this course as something completely unique?

Online Paranormal Investigation Course - £15

Last, but by no means least, we thought we’d suggest a good old dad cliché. There’s definitely a well-known stereotype that all dads love DIY. Knocking things down, tearing things up, and then never getting around to fixing them, until your mum forces him to get the builders in. That’s how these things usually go right? Well, they don’t have to anymore. We think this DIY Home Improvement Course from New Skills Academy is the perfect way to encourage dad to start working on those little jobs that need doing around the house. If he’s a creative person who’s always enjoyed building or fixing things, this is bound to get him excited. He’ll even have an official Diploma in DIY by the end of it all. The course content is available to access online at any point, and never runs out, so if he feels like refreshing his memory in a few years, it’ll be there waiting for him!
