Isle of Wight Experience Days

Isle of Wight Experiences and Things to Do in Isle of Wight

The Isle of Wight is England’s largest island, located just 4 kilometres from Hampshire across the waters of the Solent Straight. The island is home to around 130,000 permanent residents, and has been a popular holiday destination since Victorian times. Known as ‘Southern England in miniature’, Isle of Wight’s countryside is incredibly diverse. You will find dramatic chalk cliffs, rolling hills,  and wooded valleys, as well stunning sandy beaches and pebbled coves, making this picturesque part of the UK a fantastic place to get out and explore.

For November, the latest Experience Days for Experience Days on The Isle of Wight include, At Home Eco Friendly Cosmetics Making Experience, Junior Virtual Art Painting Class, and Virtual Painting Class.

What is There to Do in Isle of Wight

Unique Gifts and Days Out in Isle of Wight

The Isle of Wight is home to a number of seaside towns dotted around its coast. Newport, the capital of the island, offers boutique shops and cafes, as well as stunning views across the sea. Freshwater, a village in West Wight, is home to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island - here, you can explore the breath-taking caves and chalk cliffs with a sea kayaking experience, or, for the more adventurous, with a day of coasteering! The Isle of Wight is a great place for some water-based adventures, perfect as a gift for a loved one, or for an awesome activity day during your visit to the island.

Away from the coastline and into the centre of Isle of Wight are rolling hills, patchwork fields and plenty of woodland to explore. The island is famous for its unique wildlife, and is one of the few places in the UK that the illusive Red Squirrel still lives in the wild. The unique habitats found here are a paradise for birds, with a vast range of species nesting and thriving here. Why not treat your loved one to a Birds of Prey experience, where you’ll get up close and personal with these magnificent creatures? The Isle of Wight is the perfect place to get back to nature and have a day out exploring the countryside and its stunning wildlife.

With so much to see and do, it is no surprise that the Isle of Wight is so popular with day-trippers and holiday makers alike. And for those who live on the beautiful island permanently, an experience gift might just be the perfect way to rediscover what this extraordinarily special place has to offer!

Wonderful weather, very punctual and everything we hoped for. Booked this experience for my partners 70th birthday, it was so relaxing. The views were stunning, especially being able to get so close to the needles, which is where we anchored for dinner. On our return leg we had a gorgeous sunset, the weather held out for the entire trip, which was a bonus. Would recommend this trip, especially for a special celebration.

It was bought to celebrate my husbands 70th birthday. He has major mobility problems but he was carefully helped on and off the boat and was made to feel as welcome as the rest of us. Overall we really enjoyed the experience and would do it again. Lovely group of people on board and friendly skipper and crew . We were disappointed that the tides didn’t allow us to go to the Needles, but Old Town Creek was really pretty and the water was lovely and warm for a swim. I have to be honest our real disappointment was the dinner. It was carefully prepared but sadly by the time I took a mouthful it was lukewarm and not pleasant in the mouth at all. I’m sorry I couldn’t eat it as I like hot food to be hot or deliberately cold in a salad.... And , as I don’t eat desserts I was rather hungry. Other members of the party were far more polite and ate it, but it wasn’t good . . A piece of french bread would have been welcome with it aswell. We also weren’t offered a tea or coffee., We would do the experience again or even an overnighter as we didn’t do the experience for the meal. I would take a packet of sandwiches, though, next time just in case !
